The Ocean Project — The Meaning Behind Our Logo

Every element of our logo carries a purpose:

  • The Green Circle represents the Earth, the wholeness of our shared world, and the oneness of humanity on the planet.
  • The Blue Wave represents the vast Pacific Ocean, which separates our islands yet connects our people.
  • The Purple Form represents people living with epilepsy—their strength, resilience and dignity.
  • The Unevenness of the Purple Form reflects the diversity of the people epilepsy can affect. Epilepsy does not discriminate. It can affect people of all ages, backgrounds, communities and walks of life.
  • The Small Gap in the Lower Half of the Purple Form represents the gap in epilepsy care—the unmet need, the interruption, and the void that epilepsy can leave in a person’s life when left untreated. It is the gap The Ocean Project exists to bridge.

Our Motto

“Bridging the gap. Across the ocean.”
